Rashidd Eugene Douglas, Sr., was born on June 21, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio, to
Patricia Ann (Stennis) and the late Robert Eugene Douglas. From an early age,
Rashidd embraced his faith, accepted Christ, and practiced the Catholic faith. Growing
up in the Lee Harvard area of Cleveland, he attended Benedictine High School, where
he graduated before continuing his education at the Ohio State University and
Cleveland State University.
Rashidd was known for his excellent communication skills, which enabled him the ability to
speak proficiently and develop talents in several areas. He had a deep love for sports,
including baseball, football, and swimming, and was highly athletically inclined.
Through hard work and determination, Rashidd received his Class A CDL license and
was self-employed as a long-distance truck driver. He was also a skilled welder, as well
as a forklift and tow motor operator. Over the years, Rashidd gained valuable
experience working with Federal Metals Company and Diamond Metals Distribution. At
the time of his passing on December 7, 2025, he was employed with the United States
Postal Service at the Main Office on Orange Avenue, where he was admired and love
by his coworkers.
Affectionately known as “Sheed” by his mother and sister, Rashidd fully embraced life
and always sought to enjoy every moment. He cherished his family deeply and, thanks
to his strong work ethic and perseverance, was able to overcome many of life’s
challenges.
Rashidd leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Patricia Ann Douglas; sister Kesha
Douglas Spikes (Silas), brother, Ali Sharif – Ivey; three daughters, R’rielle Creel,
Jasmine Douglas, Cheyenne Wilson; one son, Rashidd Eugene Douglas, Jr.; three
grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
